Sunny days present challenges of their own - for costumers, they risk boiling over from the heat, and for photographers, it makes for hard shadows and backlighting. So the conditions made things a bit challenging for the Master Chief shoot. Thankfully, temperature wasn't too big a deal - one of the advantages of a November con is that hot costumes have a chance to cool off outside, but we had a pretty sunny day to contend with

On the upside, we had this really cool sphere thing which really fits the look for the costume, so we made extensive use of it before heading out to the field for more open shots. Anyway, I think things turned out well and I'd like to thank 4ng31 for enduring a lot of photos from myself and NGA Kevin, and thanks to Romaniac (found over in her Suiseiseki gallery) for helping with the reflector. I don't know what the heck it is, but that Death Star in the background really makes a nice backdrop.
