So shortly after arrival I snagged my first shoot of the convention. Tessceres had a cool costume and we managed to get a good shoot in before the light faded too much.

It's kinda weird, because I guess I sorta had to slide into the photographer mindset, because the first chunk of pics were kinda meh, but a good 20 or so warmup shots and I found my groove. Then, even better, we found out Death Star - this cool-looking sculpture in front of the Hilton that worked really well. Even better, compositionally speaking, was that Tessceres' curved sword really worked well with the curves of the sphere resulting in some really interesting compositions.

So, after a slow start we had a great set of photos, and Tess just had to endure the cold for it, for which I thank her. Anyway, thanks and enjoy the pics.

I love how the long lens and the contrast really make her just pop out from the sculpture.
