Still a convention, but a bit of a change of pace, shooting cars instead of people. The good news is, cars don't move very much (except for those rotating platfors). The bad news is that these things are people magnets, so it's extra fun trying to get a clear shot. Sometimes it's impossible, and you work with what you've got. Given harsh reflections, no flash was used - instead everything was tripod or hand-held. Given that this isn't my strong suit, I like the results - some good practice and a fun day out with people. All images © 2008 the site owner. Final thoughts: well, it was a change of pace from what I'm used to. Lots of tripod and low light. Maybe next time I'll experiment with flashes too. Nothing too stressful, just a fun shoot. |
