Kariya Park cosplay photoshootMay 10-11 2008 - Mississauga OntarioBack to Events | Back Home |
Every year, the cherry blossoms come out at Kariya park, leaving it in a wash of pink petals. And every year, intrepid photographers and costumers come out, dodging wedding parties along the way, to take their cosplay photos. This year, we did our set over two days, shooting various outfits under various conditions. Since I'm lazy, I'll combine them into a single page here. Given the sunny day, measures were taking to avoid shadows - reflectors, fill flash, polarizers and shade worked together. It's something I'm finally getting the hang of, and it worked well. Anyway, thanks to everyone for braving the potential rain and enjoy the photos. Final thoughts: Well, the shoot turned out well, despite my avoiding the use of reflectors and trying other methods of filling shadow. I'm certainly happy with that part of the experiment, and the photos overall. Admittedly, Kariya's been a bit overused by our crew for photos so we're going to have to quest out for new locations, since there's only so many times you can shoot with the blossoms and be effective. Still, I liked the results, and was glad to have two shoots where I could hit up most of the nooks and crannies of the park for photos. Thanks again everyone, hope you had fun, and enjoy the pics. |
